T1 suspend their coach, dd8, for the next VCT NA Open Qualifier

Following the dramatic turn of events from VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 1 - Open Qualifier 1 in which T1 were made to forfeit their match against TSM in round 3 of the lower bracket due to T1’s coach David "dd8" Denis being in violation of competitive ruling 7.2.11, Unauthorized Communications.

In light of the above T1 have officially announced the suspension of dd8 with immediate effect as described in their latest tweet

During their match against TSM FTX, map 2 came to a stalemate at half time with T1 leading 8-4 and ultimately cancelled. It was brought to Riot Games’ attention that dd8 had been communicating with his players during regulation round time which is not permitted as per rule 7.2.11, thus leading to T1 forfeiting the match.

T1 have also confirmed that Riot Games have permitted them to participate in the next VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 1 - Open Qualifier 2 but with the suspension in place, dd8 will not be available and that assistant coach, Dakota "Stunner" MacLeod will be the only coach available for the second qualifier.
