Tarik announces break from VALORANT watch parties

Tarik "tarik" Celik has announced that he will be stepping away from VALORANT watch parties for the foreseeable future. The former CS:GO pro and current Sentinels content creator has hosted watch parties for both regional and international VALORANT events since 2022.

What happened to Tarik?

On August 14, Tarik announced on X that he would no longer be hosting VALORANT watch parties. While the streamer has not disclosed the reason behind his decision, he confirmed that he plans to return to gaming streams after his break.

In the same post, he also thanked all the fans who tuned in and helped create so many memorable moments throughout his watch-party journey.

A major name in VALORANT streaming

Tarik made a name for himself in the esports scene after helping Cloud9 make history at the ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018. The victory marked the first time an American team had won a Counter-Strike Major, cementing Tarik’s status as one of the most popular CS:GO players.

However, after stints with other major organizations such as Evil Geniuses and MIBR, Tarik announced his retirement from professional play to pursue a full-time career as a content creator. In 2022, he joined Sentinels as a VALORANT content creator.

In 2024, Sentinels won both the VCT 2024 - Americas Kick-off and VCT 2024 - Masters Madrid, further boosting Tarik’s popularity and viewership. He became the most-watched VALORANT co-streamer in the world, with his audience peaking at 313,484 viewers during the Masters Madrid Grand Final.

Since then, has remained one of the biggest co-streamers of the game. In 2025, he was the most-watched VALORANT streamer, surpassing 25.3 million hours watched and becoming the only streamer to exceed 20 million hours viewed that year.
