After an intense Finals weekend of VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Stage 2, Team Liquid came out on top and lifted the EMEA trophy. Match Recap

Heading into the Bo5, Liquid had the advantage of two map bans, removing two of their weakest maps: Icebox and Haven. Starting on Bind, GIANTX immediately showed they weren't going down without a fight, winning the first four rounds. The map turned into a close affair, but in the end, GIANTX lost their lead and Liquid took Bind 13-10.

The close competition continued on Lotus. Despite holding a lead in the first half, GIANTX lost their footing on defense. After winning six consecutive rounds, Liquid were ready for the third map. GIANTX tried their hardest to recover, but couldn't regain momentum, and Lotus went to Liquid 13-9.

Sunset told a similar story. GIANTX did their best to keep Liquid from running away with the score, but their efforts were in vain as Liquid secured the final map 13-10. Although GIANTX put up a strong fight and kept the maps competitive, the final result was a heartbreaking 3-0 sweep.

    Top EMEA Seed for Champions

With this win, Liquid secured the top seed out of EMEA heading into VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions. This will be Liquid’s fourth time attending Champions—the only time they missed the event was last year at VCT 2024 - Champions 2024. This year has also had its challenges, with early exits in both VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Bangkok 2025 and VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025, where they were sent home in the Swiss stages. Now, Liquid are looking to go further than ever and bring home another trophy.

Even though they lost the Grand Final, securing the second EMEA seed is still a major achievement for GIANTX, who haven’t appeared on an international stage since VCT 2023 - Champions.
