Trace Esports has officially acquired Delbert "deLb" Tanoto from All Gamers as the team looks toward rebuilding their lineup ahead of the VCT 2026 season.

Trace Esports struggled to maintain their strong start at the VCT 2025 season. After qualifying for VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Bangkok 2025, the team was unable to replicate their impressive run at VCT 2024 - Champions 2024. They finished in 5th-6th place in VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - China Stage 1 and regressed in VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - China Stage 2 with a 7th-8th place finish to end their season.

As a result, Trace Esports have been looking towards making numerous changes to their lineup heading into the 2026 season. They began their offseason by replacing Ho "heybay" Shun Hei on the team and acquiring former XLG Esports in-game leader Ran "Viva" Lifan following his performance at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions.

    Who is deLb?

deLb was a promising player in the VCT China circuit throughout the 2024 and 2025 seasons for All Gamers, despite the team’s struggles at the start of the 2025 season. While he and All Gamers couldn’t avoid consecutive last place finishes in China to start the year, the team was able to mount a comeback late into the season. Stage 2 saw deLb and All Gamers shine as a darkhorse in the final tournament of the VCT China and made a promising run to a 5th-6th place.

After two VCT seasons with All Gamers, deLb will have an opportunity at a fresh start as he sets his sights on his first VCT international event.

It will be interesting to see how Trace Esports fares going into the new year and if they can make a return to the international stage. Regardless, this change marks the end of the Trace Esports core that granted them a successful run at the end of 2024 and the start of 2025.
