VALORANT Esports introduces Shotcall gamifying the VCT viewing experience
VALORANT Esports has unveiled Shotcall, a dynamic new feature designed to transform how fans engage with live VCT matches. Shotcall is a desktop-only Twitch extension that lets viewers make real-time predictions about pivotal moments in VALORANT Esports matches.
Imagine a mini-game layered on top of the action you already love; each correct prediction earns points and helps dedicated fans climb a global leaderboard, adding a new layer to the viewing experience.
How Shotcall Works on Twitch
Participating in Shotcall is easy and intuitive:
- Tune in to any of the three official VCT Americas Twitch channels.
- Look for the Shotcall overlay by mousing over the video player. Click the red crystal ball icon in the top left and log in with your Riot ID.
- Make your predictions on upcoming maps, rounds, or clutch scenarios. When the extension is minimized, predictions will fly out over the video.
- If Shotcall isn't immediately visible, use the Twitch extension controls on the right side of the video player, ensuring Shotcall is set to "visible."
- Compete against other fans in real-time. Correct guesses earn you points, pushing you up the leaderboard and adding a competitive edge to watching VCT.
Beta Test
To gather feedback and refine the feature, Shotcall will debut with four limited beta sessions on VCT Americas' Twitch channels:
- Friday, August 8, 2025
- Friday, August 15, 2025
- Friday, August 22, 2025
- Friday, August 29, 2025
Fans can join these sessions, compete for a spot in the leaderboard, and earn exclusive beta rewards. However, these rewards have not yet been revealed. But more enticing incentives have been planned for the future.
The Future of VALORANT Esports Viewing
VALORANT Esports is building Shotcall hand-in-hand with the community. Feedback via social media and Twitch chat will directly influence improvements, and surveys will be shared after each map.
Shotcall makes watching VCT matches more interactive, rewarding, and community-driven than ever before. So, get your Riot ID ready, tune in on Fridays, and make your predictions.
