London is no stranger to sporting spectacle, but this June, it's adding a new chapter to its matchday culture, and esports is leading the charge.

Riot Games has unveiled The Phoenix Arms, a first-of-its-kind esports pub experience launching ahead of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Masters London 2026 Finals. Running from 19–21 June at Hackney Bridge in East London, the free-entry venue is helmed by popular social media personality John "Big John" Fisher, who steps into the role of landlord for the weekend.

Big John, a well-known face across British social media, brings an infectious energy. His involvement gives The Phoenix Arms an authentically fan-forward identity, with less corporate activation and more genuine celebration of the community that makes competitive VALORANT tick.

A Pub Built for Esports Fans

Drawing inspiration from the quintessential British matchday pub, The Phoenix Arms is designed to give VALORANT fans a proper pre-match gathering spot, making it the kind of communal space that football supporters have enjoyed for generations. The venue will feature team flags, themed memorabilia, custom pub signage, and live match screenings throughout the weekend.

The idea is simple: bring fans together to support their favourite teams, argue over predictions, and share in the biggest moments of VALORANT Masters London, with a pint in hand if you so fancy.

Part of a Bigger Fan Fest Weekend

The Phoenix Arms sits within Riot's wider VALORANT Fan Fest at Hackney Bridge, which transforms the venue into an open-air celebration of the game across finals weekend. Beyond the pub, fans can look forward to live podcasts, creator appearances, team activations, meet-and-greets, an Artist Alley, and a free open-air watch party.

For those who couldn't secure tickets to the sold-out Copper Box Arena, Fan Fest offers a legitimate alternative to experience the finals atmosphere.

A Historic Moment for UK Esports

VALORANT Masters London marks the first time an international VALORANT tournament has been hosted in the United Kingdom. The tournament kicked off on 6 June and culminates on 21 June, with millions expected to tune in via VALORANT's official Twitch and YouTube channels.

The timing places VALORANT Masters alongside a landmark summer of global sport—the FIFA World Cup, Wimbledon, and the F1 British Grand Prix all share the calendar, and Riot is leaning into that energy. Esports, with its passionate global fanbase and fierce team rivalries, fits right into London's summer sporting narrative.

The Phoenix Arms at Hackney Bridge is free to attend all weekend. Full details on VALORANT Fan Fest can be found at valorantesports.com.
