Valorant is currently one of the most challenging FPS competitive games around the world. With agents of all kinds and complex maps, the Riot Games title has proven to be a challenge for those starting out with inadequate information.

Valorant has eight different maps, and each map comes with its own unique characteristics. The unique feature of Valorant's Haven map is the three-site map (A, B, C), which is also its distinctive aspect, as most bomb/defusal maps in FPS games tend to be two sites.

    Features of Valorant's Haven

In Haven, Site A is accessible through an alleyway called "long A" or through an underground passage called "sewers" (A-short). Long A is more suited for long-ranged engagements, while the sewers will bring close-quarter combat.

Haven's Site B is accessible through a window that leads into an outdoor courtyard. The courtyard also leads to a set of doors called "garage," which allows attackers to wrap around to Site B.

The garage also acts as a connector to Haven's Site C, so attackers that make it through can threaten both B and C. Another entry point to Site C is through the straight alleyway.

Callouts are extremely important in a map as tricky as Haven. With this information on Haven's callouts for sites, coming up with game-defining strategies, ambushes, and tricks can be the difference between a win or a loss.

    Tips for Attackers on Haven

Haven is an attack-sided map with three different sites that you can attack from. It's the only Valorant map with three different sites, each with multiple ways of entry.

As a beginner on Valorant's Haven, keep in mind that it can be very challenging to try and defend all sites at once.

    Tips for Defenders on Haven

Haven is not a map that favours defenders, with attackers having the highest win rate on the map. One thing you can do to try and even out the odds is to flank.

Flanking can easily be done on Haven because of the small map size. If you can flank properly, the enemy team will be caught between you and your teammates, which you can then use to pick them off.

Best Agent Combinations for Valorant's Haven

Here are some recommended team compositions when handling the Haven map to make attacking and defending on Haven much easier. If you plan to play with a team of friends, having one of these agent combinations will help you dominate on Valorant's Haven.

General Tips to Consider on Haven

    • Vision is also paramount to winning on Haven. Ensure you pick spots with good views for gathering information.
    • Communication is key
    • Flanking is a must-do on a map like Haven, as the outplay potential is limitless.
    • Constant Rotations tend to confuse enemies on Haven. Ensure you constantly rotate, keeping the positions of your teammates in mind.

Haven is a fun map for people looking for something out of the ordinary. Three bomb sites can be intense for anyone, no matter your level, so don't get overwhelmed if you can't apply all of this on your first try. Remember that practice and even more practice make perfect.
