VALORANT Patch 13.04 takes out Breeze, adds Abyss to map rotation
VALORANT Patch 13.04 brings small bug fixes alongside a new map pool rotation for competitive queues. Breeze is finally leaving the rotation, much to the liking of many players, while Abyss makes its return. The patch also marks the beginning of Premier Stage V26A5, giving players the chance to compete in another tournament-style experience.
Breeze out, Abyss in
One of the most disliked maps in VALORANT is leaving the map pool rotation in Patch 13.04, which goes live on August 18. While Breeze is leaving from the competitive and deathmatch queues, Abyss is returning.
- Breeze OUT
- Abyss IN
On the same day, the new Aeris bundle will also be released.
Bug Fixes
As for the bug fixes, Riot Games has focused on small issues and visual effects. Cypher's Spycam minimap icon was rotated incorrectly, while Viper's Snake Bite equip animation appeared incorrectly from an enemy's point of view. Deadlock's GravNet visual effect bug has also been fixed.
Clove also received a fix for an issue involving their utility. Repeatedly switching between Meddle and Ruse could cause the player to freeze and eventually disconnect from the game.
Premier
Welcome to Stage V26A5! Premier matches are returning on August 18 with for five weeks of competition, instead of the usual seven. In Contender and Invite, the qualification is still based on your placement.
Playoffs will be played across two days, with the first round starting on September 19. The teams that advance will return on September 20 for the finals.
The verdict
VALORANT Patch 13.04 is a small patch focused on fixing minor issues and introducing the new map pool. The next patch, however, will be much more important, as it will be the official patch of VALORANT Champions 2026.
