VCT China is the First Region to Have All Champions Slots Locked

All four teams from VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - China Stage 2 are locked and set for VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions as they will look to bring the region their second international title.

The confirmation of all four teams came following XLG Esports 2-1 series victory over All Gamers in the VCT Stage 2 China Playoffs Lower Bracket. This eliminated All Gamers from the Stage 2 playoffs, meaning they were unable to garner more points, leaving just the top four teams in contention for Championship Points.

Here are the four teams representing China on the international stage in Paris, France, at VALORANT Champions Paris 2025.

Who are the Four Teams from VCT China?

The four teams representing China will be Bilibili Gaming, EDward Gaming, XLG Esports, and Dragon Ranger Gaming. Bilibili Gaming, Edward Gaming, and XLG all accumulated Championship Points throughout 2025 by qualifying for various international events. EDward Gaming's points primarily come from strong performances at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Bangkok 2025 and winning the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - China Kickoff. XLG’s points come from winning VCT China Stage 1, while Bilibili Gaming’s Championship Points stem from being China’s most consistent team in 2025.

Two VCT Ascension Teams Going to Champs

What makes these four teams' qualification for VALORANT Champions Paris that much more exciting is the fact that both XLG and Dragon Ranger Gaming are Ascension teams. While qualifying for VCT Champs 2025 would typically secure your spot in tier 1 VCT for the 2026 season, that option gets nullified if both Ascension teams qualify for Champions Paris.

Instead, VALORANT Champions Paris 2025 will be a battleground for both XLG and Dragon Ranger Gaming, where the guaranteed slot in VCT 2026 will go to the team that places higher at the tournament. The remaining team will still have an opportunity to fight for their spot in VCT 2026 through the VCT Ascension tournament, where they will likely be a favorite to re-qualify.

As for EDward Gaming and Bilibili Gaming, this will mark their fourth and third consecutive VALORANT Champions appearances. Bilibili Gaming will be looking for success following their surprise top-eight finish at VALORANT Champions 2023. Meanwhile, Edward Gaming will have the opportunity to defend their Champions throne as they look to go back-to-back.

That being said, the exact seeding between these four teams has yet to be determined. Edward Gaming, Bilibili Gaming, and XLG all currently have 16 points, while Dragon Ranger Gaming is currently at 10 points.

VCT Stage 2 China playoffs conclude on August 24, 2025, where the seeding will officially be determined. And given the strength of the other regions, just securing their spot at VALORANT Champions Paris won’t be enough to increase their chances of a deep run in the tournament. So qualifying for the VCT Stage 2 China Grand Finals will be a significant priority for all the remaining four teams.

VALORANT Champions Paris 2025 will take place from September 12, 2025, to October 5, 2025, where 16 of the best teams from around the world will compete to be the next VALORANT World Champion.
