Wolves Esports sign former Rare Atom star Satoshi ahead of the VCT 2026 season
Wolves Esports have officially announced the acquisition of former Rare Atom star, Fei "Satoshi" Zhixian, ahead of the VCT 2026 season.
Satoshi most recently played for Rare Atom, where he was a standout player in the team’s second-place finish at VCT Ascension China 2025. While he narrowly missed out on qualification to Dragon Ranger Gaming, Satoshi continued to shine throughout the 2025 season. He will now make his Tier 1 debut under the Wolves Esports name as he looks to help the team return to the international stage.
Wolves Esports looking to bounce back
Wolves Esports were a bright spot despite their inconsistencies throughout the VCT 2025 season. While they struggled at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - China Kickoff, the Wolves made a surprising run to VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025 after a strong third-place finish in VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - China Stage 1. Their miracle run continued on the international stage, where they were China’s best-performing team, finishing in third place. Unfortunately, the team was unable to maintain that momentum going into VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - China Stage 2, as they failed to qualify for the playoffs.
Their 10 accumulated points gained from their impressive showing in Stage 1 and Masters Toronto were ultimately not enough to qualify for VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions. Heading into 2026, Wolves Esports will be hoping that their newest acquisition, Satoshi, will provide consistency to the team in their quest to make it back to the international stage.
Champions Paris 2025 was a subpar showing for the entire China region, as all four of their representatives were unable to advance to the playoffs stage. After a strong showing at Masters Toronto but a disappointing performance to end 2025, it will be interesting to see how Wolves Esports and Satoshi will perform heading into the VCT 2026 season.
