XSET Purple have announced their 2023 Game Changers roster featuring 2 ex-Cloud9 White players.

katsumi and Bob join XSET Purple

The first 2 names on XSET purple's 2023 Game Changers roster are former Cloud9 White duo katsumi and Bob "Bob" Tran. katsumi started their career with MAJKL, an org-less team she and her friends formed when VALORANT first launched. Founded in June 2020, the team quickly rose to prominence. About 4 months later, in October 2020, just 1 month after MAJKL became the FTW Summer Showdown Champions, Cloud9 acquired the team and entered the female VALORANT scene under the name of Cloud9 White. katsumi played for Cloud9 White for more than 2 years, where she participated in more than 30 tournaments. Most notably, she qualified in 1st place to almost every VCT Game Changers: North America Series tournament she participated in. katsumi, along with Cloud9 White, were crowned Champions of VCT 2021: Game Changers North America Series 1, 2, 3 and VCT 2022: Game Changers North America Series 1, 2 and 3. This means that katsumi has won all 6 North American Series in the last 2 years. In these 6 tournaments, katsumi and C9 White defeated CLG Red 2 times then Shopify Rebellion 4 times in a row in the grand finals.

After these successes, katsumi participated in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Game Changers Championship in Berlin in November 2022 with C9 White, where she lost 2:1 to his arch-rival Shopfiy Rebellion in the Lower Bracket Semifinal and finished the tournament in 4th place with 1 win and 2 losses. Just a month later, C9 White parted ways with the entire roster. The talented 22-year-old, who has been without a team for nearly 5 months since then, will now compete for XSET Purple.

Another key player in XSET Purple's new lineup is Australian Bob "Bob" Tran. Bob started their career in EXO Clan and then played for Susquehanna Soniqs for almost a year. In May 2022, Bob joined katsumi's team Cloud9 White, and with C9 White, Bob finished 1st place in VCT 2022: Game Changers North America Series 2 and 3. Most recently, they took part in the VCT 2022: Game Changers Championship, placing 4th.

Next on the list is Canadian-born Melanie "rise" Tetreault, former CLG Red player. rise has also played in many tournaments in North America with CLG Red. And finally, two names complete XSET's 2023 Game Changers lineup: bunny bee and panday. bunny bee already wore the XSET jersey between October 2022 and December 2022. However, she left the team in December 2022 when XSET parted ways with the entire lineup.

With XSET Purple signing an ambitious roster, the 2023 Game Changers season promises to be much more exciting.
