Yoru and Viper are getting priority for upcoming agent changes
Every agent in the VALORANT ecosystem is unique in their own nature, bringing a diverse set of utilities and abilities to each composition they are part of. A number of professional players are starting to make their name in the scene perfecting certain playstyles and agents. However, Yoru has seen hardly any playtime at the professional level. We saw him introduced to the game in patch 2.0, while Viper was one of the original agents. Both of them are due for changes soon.
VALORAT Insights & Product Strategy Coleman “Altombre” Palm responded to fans on Reddit asking for when those two agents will receive any changes. Altombre revealed the development team is in fact looking towards shipping both their tweaks “as soon as possible.” However, it all comes down to making sure the newly released agent, Astra, doesn’t need any quick attention that would divert the team’s effort.
“It may not seem like it, but we really want to ship these changes as soon as possible too. We just only have so many sets of hands and a lot to juggle - there are more changes we'd like to make than we can realistically ship, so we've gotta prioritize for the sake of balance.”
“Assuming Astra lands in a reasonably balanced spot, Yoru & Viper will be getting priority for changes. I know it's disappointing for y'all to keep seeing this delayed - it's disappointing for us too. Rest assured that we will get these out as soon as we can once the dust has settled a bit,” revealed Altombre.
