2 invited teams from the East region and 6 teams from the East Open Qualifier [a]

Teams that reach 3 wins advance to the Upper Swiss Phase
Teams that reach 3 losses are relegated to their respective region's qualifier in the next Stage

4 invited teams from the North region's "Direct Invite" process [1]
