this is a pretty cool idea (probably not new) that i found out because i didnt have a slice of cheese in my fridge. a cool thing you can do when you are making burger but dont have cheese slices/want something different is get a handful or so of shredded cheese and literally put it in the same frying pan and squish it down a bit. doing this will pretty much result in a crispy cheese chip which, since its condensed, has a strong cheese flavor. you dont specifically have to use this on burgers since i see most people that do this actually dont but its pretty nice and tasty anyway.
