Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you locate and catch this magnificent steed:

    Head to Snowfield Stable

Start your journey at Snowfield Stable, located in the South Tabantha Snowfield at coordinates (-1642, 2566, 0234). This stable is southeast of the Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower and near the Orochium Shrine.

    Speak with Harlow

Upon arrival at Snowfield Stable, find Harlow, who is talking with Penn near the horse area on the east side of the stable. Harlow will inform you that Zelda’s golden horse has run away to the north and warn you about a large monster in that direction.

    Prepare for the journey

Before setting off, ensure you have meals and elixirs to boost your stealth and stamina. You will need food and elixirs to approach the horse and energizing meals and elixirs to maintain your stamina while taming it.

Additionally, prepare for the cold with spicy dishes and elixirs for cold resistance or wear the Snowquill Armor set from Rito Village.

    Locate the golden horse

From Snowfield Stable, head north towards the North Tabantha Snowfield. The horse will be among a herd of wild horses, a bit southwest of Oshozan-u Shrine, at approximately (-1785, 3409, 0236).

    Avoid the Frost Gleeok

As you approach, you will likely encounter a Frost Gleeok. It’s best to avoid this formidable monster unless you are seeking a tough battle.

    Catch the golden horse

The golden horse is shyer than other wild horses. Instead of sneaking all the way, sprint the last few steps and quickly press the A button to mount it. You can use the ruins to leap onto the horse, or shoot it with an Ice Fruit to stop it from running away, and jump on as soon as it breaks free. The horse will take a around two stamina wheels to soothe. Feed it some apples to bond with it once it is calm.

    Return to Snowfield Stable

After calming the horse, ride it back to Snowfield Stable, steering clear of the Frost Gleeok. Speak with Harlow and Penn again to receive your rewards: the Royal Bridle, Royal Saddle, and an energizing elixir. Penn will also reward you with some rupees.

    Register your new horse

Finally, register the golden horse to yourself at the stable, earning a Pony Point and the opportunity to name your new majestic companion.

By following these steps, you’ll successfully find and tame Zelda’s golden horse in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Now you know the Zelda’s golden horse location and how to catch it. Happy adventuring!
