Acend have announced today that Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt is moving to the bench. The 20-year-old world champion will skip the upcoming VCT 2022 - EMEA Last Chance Qualifier.

Acend's performance has certainly been disappointing in recent months. Before the start of the VCT 2022 - EMEA - Stage 2 - Challengers - Main Event, the European team decided to sign Ondřej "MONSTEERR" Petrů and Vakaris "vakk" Bebravičius in place of Santeri "BONECOLD" Sassi and Vladyslav "kiles" Shvets. However, these changes didn't work as Acend lost both of their games against M3 Champions and FunPlus Phoenix in the playoffs and dropped out of the competition. Thus, of course, they will already miss the second international tournament of the year, the VCT 2022 - Stage 2 - Masters Copenhagen.

Less than two weeks after this defeat, Acend announced via their Twitter feed that Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt is being moved to the bench, and the European team is already looking around for a new player to replace the Pole during the VCT 2022 - EMEA Last Chance Qualifier. At this point, his replacement is not yet known. The last-chance qualifiers for the VCT 2022 - Champions Istanbul will begin on August 7.

Now Acend is:

Turkey Mehmet Yağız "cNed" İpek Poland Patryk "starxo" Kopczynski Lithuania Vakaris "vakk" Bebravičius Czech Republic Ondřej "MONSTEERR" Petrů

Lithuania Laurynas "Nbs" Kisielius (Head coach) Netherlands Milan "Milan" de Meij (Analyst)

Poland Aleksander "zeek" Zygmunt (Benched)
