Agent-specific keybinds will most likely come around Episode 3
In the fourth iteration of Ask VALORANT, Riot Games acknowledged the need for custom agent keybinds, a widely requested feature from the tactical shooter’s community. Well, that was back in August 2020, and now it is time for a more precise timeline on when players should expect it.
In the latest edition of the blog post series, the studio raised the topic once more, with promises to deploy at least a “version” of the feature around Episode 3. Considering Episode 2 released and brought Yoru with it on January 12th, 2021, it will be a few months before we see any more updates on agent-specific keybinds.
“While we have no specific timing to give you today, believe us that this has not dropped off our long list of priorities for this year. Our hope is to find a version of this around Episode 3,” revealed Riot Games.
Another topic mentioned was extending the period for match remake voting, with players asking for improvements on the feature as a whole. The development team acknowledged the need for changes and enhancements on how the system works, admitting the initial integration was “relatively strict” to ensure competitive integrity.
“Extending the available window, automating the remake function in particularly fast AFK cases, and creating clarity on when a remake is being initiated versus a surrender, are all pieces that we’re considering. We still want to maintain competitive integrity as our number one priority, so our approach will reflect that. We’re hoping to have some changes on this soon and will give you more updates when we can,” said VALORANT’s development team.
