Ally Raze grenades won't destroy Cypher tripwires anymore

Ever since patch 1.11, Cypher hasn’t been the same. Riot Games nerfed the VALORANT agent’s abilities, and modified his tripwires and camera to be revealed once he is dead. Another weak point the community and Cypher players have been complaining about is the ally Raze’s grenades and blasters destroying his tripwires and gadgets. This didn’t make sense as it hinders Cypher’s abilities massively as he usually sets them up prior to the round start, and once it does, even an ally can take them out accidentally.

VALORANT Agent Game Designer rycoux replied to one of the Reddit threads addressing the topic and confirmed it will be looked into. Not only that, another fan mentioned that Killjoy’s Nanoswarm grenade and Alarmbot have the same effect on Cypher’s gadgets, and rycoux took note of the suggestion to be inspected as well.

“I remember looking into this and wonder if it’s just better if ally Raze nades didn’t explode Cypher traps. Sorry this slipped my plate I hope to investigate this next week”
