VCT EMEA leaves Berlin: Stage 2 Finals set for Barcelona

For the first time ever, a VCT EMEA event will leave Berlin for warmer weather. Riot Games has officially announced that the Stage 2 Finals will be hosted in Barcelona, Spain.

The 2026 Stage 2 Finals will be one of the biggest events of the VCT EMEA season. For the first time, Challenger teams will have the opportunity to qualify for the VCT EMEA Playoffs. This opens the door for more teams across the VALORANT competitive scene to compete in the Finals, even giving Tier 2 teams a path to Champions.

With so much on the line, Riot wanted to go all out for the event.

Changing Locations

Originally, the plan was to host the event in Madrid, but the location has now been moved to Barcelona. Riot is excited to keep the event in Spain, expanding the live VALORANT experience to even more fans across the country.

The VCT EMEA Finals: Barcelona will take place at the Olímpic Arena in Badalona, part of the greater Barcelona metropolitan area. The arena has hosted numerous major sporting events and was originally built for the Olympic Games. This will mark the first time the VALORANT community takes over the venue.

Alongside the matches, fans can expect a range of VALORANT-themed community experiences and activities designed to make the event even more memorable.
