Following the footsteps of T1 with their recent Korean roster reveal, Cloud9 officially sign Seung-Woo “Moothie" Yoo, Jun-Ki “Bazzi" Park, Sang-beom “Munchkin” Byeon, Taewook “Try” Kang, Dogyeong “DoYa” Kim and Euteum “Autumn” Yoon acting as the coach of the team. They teased it briefly yesterday, and now it is official. All of them are incredibly promising VALORANT players, transitioning over with a mix between Overwatch and Apex Legends backgrounds.

Seung-Woo “Moothie" Yoo was a former Apex Legends professional player for DeToNator Korea and Team Afreeca. During his career in EA’s battle royale title, he reached countless finals, but couldn’t get his hands on a title. He finished second in Apex The Kill Day 6 and Apex The Kill Day 10: Grand Finals.

While under DeToNator Korea, Moothie finished 14th in the T1 Apex Korean League: Season 2 then performed much better the following season, getting a 5th place finish in the T1 Apex Korean League: Season 3. As for his VALORANT achievements so far, he came 2nd in the WESL x Toonation to Vision Strikers, playing for MaD.

Jun-Ki “Bazzi" Park used to play Overwatch competitively for Seven and Hangzhou Spark. The South Korean managed to win the Open Division 2017 Season 1 Korea and Overwatch Contenders 2018 Season 1 Trials: Korea titles. In addition to finishing 3rd-4th in the Overwatch League 2019 Stage 2 Playoffs and the Overwatch Contenders 2019 Season 2: China. Towards the end of his career, he finished 4th in both the Overwatch League 2019 Regular Season and its Playoffs stages. He was one of Moothie’s teammates during the WESL x Toonation tournament as part of MaD.

Sang-beom “Munchkin” Byeon is another Overwatch professional player who is making the switch to VALORANT. The memorable part of his career was during his time with Seoul Dynasty and Lucky Future. During his tenure with the latter, Munchkin managed to finish 3rd-4th in the Contenders 2020 KR Season 1 Week 2 and Week 4. On the other hand, when he was part of Seoul Dynasty’s roster, they finished 8th in the Overwatch League Inaugural Season then placed 3rd-4th in the Overwatch League 2019 Stage 1 Playoffs. Unlike Bazzi and Moothie, he has yet to compete in a VALORANT tournament.

Taewook “Try” Kang competed briefly in Apex Legends, similar to Moothie, as part of ROX Orcas. He finished 6th in the Overwatch APEX Challengers Season 3, then got 4th place in the following season of the competition. While Dogyeong “DoYa” Kim is one of the up and coming VALORANT talents in the South Korean scene.
