    Ethan swaps from CS:GO to join 100 Thieves

    100 Thieves have announced a surprising move today. Ethan "Ethan" Arnold has joined the team.

    Ethan has played Counter-Strike: Global Offensive at the professional level since 2016. He’s competed on multiple large organizations, including CLG and NRG, but most recently represented Evil Geniuses. He helped that team to a win in StarSeries and i-League Season 8 and a top-level finish in ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas, before Counter-Strike moved entirely online due to COVID-19. During this time, he’s brought EG a win at BLAST Premier Spring 2020 Americas, cs_summit 6 North America, and ESL One: Cologne 2020 North America.

    While nothing has been made totally official, many hints have been dropped that Quan "dicey" Tran will be the one replaced. Though his performances picked up over the last few months, being one of their top performers in Challengers 2, it seems it was still not enough.

    What role Ethan will be taking up is unknown. dicey’s departure does leave the team in need of a Jett/Operator player if that is the way they want to keep going.

    I know how to read thank you, 100T hasn't said anything that he was completly dropped, there hasn't been any thank you or any information regarding dicey's future beside that he won't be competing in the VC3, right now there's only what dicey said on his twitter that hints to him being completly dropped, so my comment still stands.
    It's a mistake dropping someone who's improving, if he's completly dropped, I do believe dicey will go to a new roster soon, most likely with Brax and AZK

    That is true, and even nadeshot has just said that on his stream that dicey has been dropped but at the time I wrote that, there was no concrete info that he had been kicked.
    There has been cases of players getting benched and coming back soon after, this is not the case though

    Nitr0 on the awp now, very exccited to see Ethan, this guy's mechanics and gamesense on CS were worth top 20 in 2019 and during th eonline era he was farming all the NA teams where a lot of the top valoran tplayers used to be in, he will absolutely destroy the scene

    If that happens the only org I see doing the move is either, CLG or Complexity , I don't know if TenZ wants to come back now but a roster with dicey, AZK, brax ,POACH and Koler would be an awesome roster

    That's true, but we need to take in consideration that he's still under contract with C9 and C9, according to Hiko, usually doesn't let players get out while they are still in contract specially good players

    I would love to see TenZ back, that's for sure, any team in the world would be improved with TenZ

    Not entirely sure why they replaced dicey, a player that's improving at rapid rates and has performed really well for 100T lately, but if that's what they think is best then that must be what they do. If I would replace anyone I would probably replace nitr0 and put Ethan on smokes.

    100 thieves are all about money and building a 'Super Team' filled with veterans. I think they don't want to build talent, they want to win now. They've lived by this for many years.
