Despite the grand final being a bo5, Fnatic closed things off prematurely with a clean sweep. [Evil Geniuses faced Fnatic in the Upper Bracket Final] at the event and had a fantastic opportunity to get revenge. Last time around, EG managed to snag one map off of Fnatic. This time, they failed to take one away despite having given three chance to do so.

Fnatic had a significant advantage coming into the final due to being the upper bracket winner. Fnatic were given the advantage of banning two maps first and pick the first map of the grand final. Despite Lotus, the first map, being a rather easy steal for Fnatic, Evil Geniuses put up a good fight on Split, their own map pick. Despite that, even then Fnatic were the better team to edge out their opponents. This set the tone for Bind, pick of Fnatic.

Bind turned out to be a wild battle with Evil Geniuses pulling out a unlikely Agent composition consisting of Reyna and Chamber. Surprisingly, the composition worked well as EG reached map point. However, as it is in Fnatic's style, they mounted an amazing comeback, putting five rounds together to force overtime. The momentum carried over to the overtime as they marched on get back their map pick with a 14-12 dub on Bind.
