T1 head coach Daniel “fRoD” Montaner has announced that he is no longer with the organization.

fRoD was with T1 almost since the beginning of their VALORANT program. He oversaw their early success, including a second-place finish at the T1 x NSG Showdown, somewhat of a tumble through the Ignition Series, and their climb back up after bringing in Sam "DaZeD" Marine and Ha "Sayaplayer" Jung-woo, culminating in a First Strike appearance where they lost the closest match of the quarterfinals to eventual champions 100 Thieves.

fRoD cites “difference(s) of ethics and opinions” as his reasons for leaving, leaving things wide open for interpretation and speculation. Whether T1 will look to replace him, and who might pick him up, remains to be seen. Coaches such as former Renegades coach Justin “coachJ” Anzalone are still at large, and potential landing spots for fRoD could include coach-less teams such as Envy or FaZe Clan.

    T1 are now:

United States Braxton “Brax” Pierce Canada Keven “AZK” Larivière United States Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham United States Sam “DaZeD” Marine South Korea Ha “Spyder” Jung-woo
