GLL announce Daily VALORANT Cups for EMEA region
One thing we can say with confidence: we can’t really complain about the lack of VALORANT competitive tournaments these days. No matter if it comes with the highest skilled players or those that want to start their journey in esports - everyone will find something for themselves and their teams.
The Swedish-based esports company, G-Loot with a brand called GLL, announced recently the inception of the Daily VALORANT Cups for the players from the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) region. It’s not the first time we've seen GLL being active in the VALORANT esports scene, as just last week, they hosted together with the new streaming platform Trovo Live, the Trovo Challenge: VALORANT tournament in Europe and North America.
The cups will occur twice per week and the EMEA region will be divided into three smaller zones: South (Tuesday/Wednesday), East (Thursday/Friday), and West (Saturday/Sunday). If you are not sure which one applies to your country, make sure to check out this list.
Each time, there will be $200 USD on the line with $150 USD for the winners and $50 USD for the runner-ups. Unlimited slots are available so you no need to worry about having your slot taken by another squad.
“Anyone can sign up for free on GLL, and the runtime of the cups will be adapted to the number of signed up teams,” states the official announcement.
As for now, the Daily VALORANT Cups are planned for July and August, and as we can hear from GLL themselves, they will “post more on what happens later closer to Autumn or if anything changes”.
If you are from other regions such as North or South America, and you are curious about what’s next for you, fear no more!
“We are starting our Community Cups with EMEA region but it doesn't mean that it will stay like this forever. We are planning to add other regions in the future,” reveals Ledameth, a member of the G-Loot esports team.
What do you think about the daily tournaments announced by GLL? Do you think it will help the competitive community help to grow? And most importantly: will you participate in it with your squad? Let us know in the comments!
