While the Valorant scenario is at a standstill, we took the opportunity to ask Bryan "pANcada" Luna a few questions about how he feels this season break and what he expects for the next one.

He is currently our MVP for his impeccable performance during VCT 2022 - Champions Istanbul, in addition pANcada has conquered and proven himself as one of the biggest names in Valorant worldwide. In addition to Champions, he won a runner-up in VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík, the first international championship that he had the opportunity to play in Riot's FPS while still defending the LOUD team. And speaking of LOUD, with his team Bryan never lost a game in national territory, not much, right?

For the 2023 season, pANcada will compete in VCT 2023 - Americas League wearing the mantle of Sentinels, alongside well-known figures on the world stage such as the Canadian Tyson "TenZ" Ngo and his LOUD companion, Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi.

THESPIKE.GG: First of all, how are you feeling this current shift in your career? On a new team, in a new league format, do you feel like you're adapting well?

pANcada: I'm looking forward and excited to start soon, the league is going to have a very high level and it's really good for those who like to compete.

THESPIKE.GG: You are the current world champion and MVP of the competition that gave you this title. In your opinion, does this put some pressure on you, do you feel more relaxed and confident in your abilities because of it, or did it just not make that much of a difference?

pANcada: It didn't make that much difference, I've always had this characteristic of being very calm playing and confident in myself, so I just intend to keep that.

THESPIKE.GG: Phantom or Vandal? Which weapon are you most comfortable with and why?

pANcada: I like to play with both, I don't have a preference, it depends more on the agent I'm playing in the match. Sometimes I need to shoot smokes so the Phantom favors, but on the attack side most of the time I'm with Vandal.

THESPIKE.GG: You already played professionally in other FPS's, and performed well in the championships you played, even playing in international events. How was the transition to Valorant for you?

pANcada: It was really easy, I adapted quickly because I've been playing FPS since I was 9 years old and I grinded a lot to keep a very high and competitive level.

  • Valorant wasn't the first game Bryan played in professionally, prior to Riot's FPS, he competed in Crossfire.

THESPIKE.GG: Name a player that you admire and that has positively impacted you, may or may not be a current teammate. If possible, explain a little of the reason for your choice.

pANcada: He's not a Valorant player but he was the first player I saw when I started in the FPS that is Lincoln "fnx" Lau, I looked up to him a lot to try to have a career with titles and brilliant plays like his.

  • "fnx" is one of the most famous FPS players in Brazil, and also one of the most successful. By the beginning of the year 2022, "fnx" had won all the world championships he played in. He is widely acclaimed as one of the biggest stars in the Brazilian esports scene.

THESPIKE.GG: Why doesn't pANcada miss a shot?

pANcada: As I always say, “Blessed by God” hahaha

  • A very plausible explanation for one of the biggest questions of the 21st century: My God, why doesn't PANcada miss a shot?
