Red Bull Home Ground Event Preview

The 2023 season is almost here and we have chances to see some of the franchise teams compete against each other in the off-season. Tomorrow, one of the biggest off-season events, VCT 2022 OFF SEASON - Red Bull Home Ground 2022, is going to start in Manchester. Multiple teams from EMEA and Americas League 2023 are getting ready to take on the challenge and here is everything you need to know about it!

Participating Teams

  • Team Liquid
  • KRÜ Esports
  • Cloud9
  • FUT Esports
  • FOKUS
  • 100 Thieves
  • Team Heretics
  • Team Vitality

Group Stage

Eight teams have been drawn into two groups of four. Cloud9, FOKUS, KRÜ Esports, and Team Vitality are in Group A. 100 Thieves, FUT Esports, Team Heretics, and Team Liquid are the Group B representatives. Teams will compete against each other in a single elimination format and the top three teams of each group will advance to playoffs. All matches will be BO3. The group stage will begin tomorrow, December 9.

Group A Schedule

Playoffs

As mentioned top three teams of each group will advance to playoffs. All of the playoff matches will be Bo3, except the Grand Final which will be Bo5. Winners of each group will automatically start from the semifinals and the rest will compete in the quarterfinals stage. The winners of the quarterfinals will come up against the group leaders in the semifinals. The playoff stage will start on December 10. On December 11, the winner of the tournament will be set as the grand final is scheduled to be played on that day.

The competition will be broadcast live from the O2 Victoria Warehouse on the officiall Red Bull Twitch channel and also on the official Red Bull Gaming YouTube channel. Red Bull will be hosting a watch party for the finals at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London on December 11. Red Bull Home Ground is also partnering with Pixel Bar, the video game cocktail bar, to host official Red Bull Home Ground viewing parties on 11th December at both its locations in Manchester and Leeds.
