According to a recent piece by, Brazilian organization paiN Gaming are set to invest in VALORANT by signing former Overwatch players Murillo “murizzz” Tuchtenhagen and Pedro “ole” Orlandini.

PaiN are one of the largest esports organizations in Brazil. First rising to prominence in League of Legends after the success of their team at the 2015 World Championship, paiN have since then expanded into many games. It seems the organization has its sights set on VALORANT as the latest.

Both ole and murizzz have remarkable histories in Overwatch. Ole has been playing the game competitively since 2015, and has won 3 South American Overwatch Contenders titles. Murizzz has also won three South American Contenders titles, as part of the same rosters as ole, and in 2019, murizzz won the Brazil Esport Award for the Best Overwatch Player. Murizzz and ole have each been called up to the Brazilan national team twice. It is also worth noting that murizzz played for paiN’s Overwatch team in 2018.

Also included in the globoesporte article is that paiN is rumoured to be in negotiations with André “Txozin” Saidel, Matheus “bzkA” Tarasconi, and Leandro “frzgod” Gomes to round out their lineup. Txozin is another Brazilian Overwatch player, who has been playing in South American Contenders for the last two years and was called up to the Brazilian national team in 2019. BzkA’s best moments came in CS:GO, where he played on American team Gorilla Core. Frzgod is a former Paladins player for Spacestation Gaming, who participated in the Paladins World Championship in 2018 and 2019, finishing as high as the semifinals.

The rumour comes from the fact that the five have been playing VALORANT together competitively since the beginning of the beta in North America. On May 24th, the squad won the Japex Spike tournament in Brazil, defeating their opponents 13-6 in the finals.

If all this comes together, this collection of experienced pros would become some of Brazil’s first professional VALORANT players. PaiN would be only the second team in the South American region to announce a roster, and certainly its’ most high-profile.

paiN's Rumoured Roster is:

Brazil Murillo “murizzz” Tuchtenhagen Brazil Pedro “ole” Orlandini Brazil André “Txozin” Saidel Brazil Matheus “bzkA” Tarasconi Brazil Leandro “frzgod” Gomes
