Riot announce VALORANT Champions format

Moments ago Riot announced the much anticipated release of the event format for Valorant Champions in Berlin, Germany from December 1st-12th.

Riot have confirmed that the group stage will be in the GSL format, best of three with two teams advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs will be eight teams and single elimination.

GSL Group Stage:

Group A:

  • Europe Acend
  • Brazil Vivo Keyd Stars
  • United States Envy
  • Thailand X10 Esports

Group B:

  • United States Sentinels
  • Brazil FURIA
  • Chile KRÜ Esports
  • Europe Team Liquid

Group C:

  • Russian Federation M3 Champions
  • Philippines Team Secret
  • Brazil Team Vikings
  • Japan Crazy Raccoon

Group D:

  • South Korea DRX
  • Thailand FULL SENSE
  • Europe Fnatic
  • United States Cloud9

The playoffs are scheduled to begin on Wednesday 8th December where the first two quarter final matches will take place, followed by the remaining two quarter final matches on Thursday 9th December.

With a day break between the quarter finals and semi finals, matches resume on Friday 11th December and the grand final to conclude on Saturday 12th December.
