Valorant is one of the most competitive games in the FPS gaming scene. The game encourages competition with its high skill ceiling and hardcore game mechanics. One of the biggest problems in Valorant is people being stuck at the highest rank, Radiant, and playing the same set of people every day.

This is why Valorant players will be thrilled to hear that Riot Games have announced a new mode called “Premier.” This mode allows top Valorant players to create teams for themselves so they can enjoy more hardcore games. The mode also gives casual players not signed to teams a chance to stand out and be picked up for professional gaming. This is excellent news for players who dream of going pro but are not being picked by professional teams or cannot join the live events just yet.

What is Valorant’s Premier mode?

Premier mode allows you to create or join teams with five of your friends and engage in season-long matches that can make your team stand out. After building a roster, players will have the opportunity to compete with other teams of similar skill levels.

Your team will also be placed in a division that will allow them to play in a variety of tournaments and weekly matches. The season will last for a couple of weeks. If you play your best, you can qualify for the end-of-season tournament to determine the Division Champion.

When will Premier mode be out?

Premier mode is out but still in the Alpha stage and is currently only available to Brazil players. This may seem a bummer, but it will eventually be ready. From the Alpha, they are likely testing:

  • Server load
  • Premier Score (and qualifying for the end-of-season tournament)
  • Matchmaking and queue health throughout the Alpha
  • General bugs, and a lot more.

Riot Games in Search for Feedback.

Currently, Premier mode is only about 60% of the features that were planned in its development. Riot Games also stated that there are various missing features in the Premier Alpha. The goal of the initial group of testers is to provide Riot Games with their feedback on the various features that they think should be added to the team competitive system. Riot Games will then take their feedback from the Premier Alpha and implement it in the game.

The mode is being sold as a more competitive section much tougher than ranked, and if you plan on dabbling into it, you have to have your skills be top-notch. Feel free to check in for more updates on the Premier Alpha and when Premier mode will be available for other egions.
