T1 have announced the signing of former 100 Thieves player Johann "seven" Hernandez.

The Mexican has spent the majority of his time in the competitive VALORANT scene on various unsigned rosters, before getting his big break as a substitute for 100 Thieves in September last year. He looked like a decent prospect as the team hoped to carry their momentum into the VCT 2021 - North America Last Chance Qualifier, but 100 Thieves struggled at the tournament and subsequently missed out on VCT 2021 - VALORANT Champions 2021. As a result, seven failed to play a single competitive match for the North American organization and was let go earlier this month.

The duelist is seen mainly playing Jett but has switched over to Reyna and Raze at times and as of late has even played Astra. As a result, he fits nicely as the replacement for Timothy "autimatic" Ta, who also played Jett and Raze frequently during his time on the team. seven certainly has a strong fragging capability and holds a 1.02 rating and 210 ACS over the last three months.

This move comes shortly after the departure of two notable pieces of T1, Timothy "autimatic" Ta, who is rumored to return to CS:GO, and Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham.

With this update, T1 is now:

United States Rahul "curry" Nemani United States Zander "thwifo" Kim Canada Joshua "steel" Nissan Mexico Johann "seven" Hernandez
