After an exchange with a fan on Twitter, Team Vitality announced today that they have benched the coach Tanishq "Tanizhq" Sabharwal. Riot Games and F4U management are still investigating the incident, per Vitality.
Team Vitality are having an “acceptable” performance at VRL - France: Revolution - Stage 2 - Main Event with 10 wins and 4 losses so far. Despite having a decent run in the league, the head coach of the team had an argument with Karmine Corp’ assistant coach, Ahmed "ZE1SH" El Sheikh yesterday which got out of hand. As a result, Team Vitality decided to bench their head coach and let the organizers pursue their investigation on this matter.
Tanizhq first met the VALORANT scene by winning First Strike Europe Regional Final with Team Heretics. He then worked for OG Esports, and lastly the Turkish representatives, SuperMassive Blaze. He reached the VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - EMEA - Challengers Playoffs Grand Finals with the Turkish team and got interest from different European clubs. Lastly, he joined Team Vitality to compete at VRL - France: Revolution - Stage 2 - Main Event.
Gorilla will step in as the head coach until further notice. With Tanizhq getting benched, Team Vitality’s roster and the current staff for the upcoming matches is:
Jokūbas "Cender" Labutis Santeri "BONECOLD" Sassi Joona "H1BER" Parviainen Nathan "nataNk" Bocqueho Kamil "baddyG" Graniczka Harry "Gorilla" Mepham (Analyst)
