TSM have announced today that they have mutually parted ways with long-time member Matthew "WARDELL" Yu . The organization has stated that WARDELL’s decision to not move to Texas with his teammates was the reason for the change.

WARDELL has been with the Los Angeles based organization for almost two years now, dating back to the inception of competitive VALORANT in 2020. He was already known to be an upcoming player in the CS:GO scene especially with the Ghost Gaming and Orgless rosters, but rose to fame as the face of the TSM FTX VALORANT squad. Alongside Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik, who is now the only standing member from the original lineup, the Canadian OPer has most notably helped the team to a first place finish at VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - North America - Challengers 2 and a runners-up spot at First Strike North America Regional Final, as well wins at smaller tournaments and Challengers qualifications. He played his last tournament in a TSM jersey at Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet 2022 - March, where the team was knocked out by Teal Seam in the round of 16.

Throughout his time in TSM FTX, WARDELL has been iconic in his Jett OP role and explosive playstyle, boasting a 1.26 rating and 251 ACS overall. More recently, however, he has made a full transition over to Chamber to accommodate for fellow teammate Corey "corey" Nigra, who was added to the lineup at the start of the year. Rest assured, given WARDELL’s incredible skill and public standing, fans should expect to see him on a new team very soon.

TSM FTX, on the other hand, have the tough task of finding a new OPer in time for VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 2 - Open Qualifier 1 which starts in May.

TSM FTX are now:

Canada Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik United States Aleko "LeviathanAG" Gabuniya United States Corey "corey" Nigra United States Daniel "Rossy" Abedrabbo

United States Andrew "aRubyz" Seewer (Head Coach) United States Soto (Assistant Coach) United States Preston "Juv3nile" Dornon (Head Coach) United States Austin "SmaK" Haggett (Team Manager)
