TSM replace hazed with Kanpeki

North American organization TSM, announced that it has parted ways with 33-year-old veteran player James "hazed" Cobb and signed former Sentinels player Eric "Kanpeki" Xu as a replacement on the VALORANT roster.

The 33-year-old former professional CS:GO player first played for mouseSpaz for a short time after transition from CS:GO to VALORANT in 2020. In May 2020, he joined the TSM VALORANT roster. After 1 and a half years in TSM, he joined NRG Esports. After struggling for about 1 year in NRG Esports, hazed returned to TSM and has been in TSM for about 3 months. hazed won many Challenger tournaments during his time at TSM, but the most important one was First Strike North America, where they finished 2nd.

The 25-year-old, who was recruited by TSM to replace hazed, joined Sentinels in April 2022 after playing for a number of teams. Eric, who only played in 3 tournaments with Sentinels, was benched after 3 months as a result of a poor performance in the VCT Stage 2 Challengers and left the team in September 2022.

With a 1-1 record in the Challengers, TSM has had a strong start to the year. The team's opening game versus MAD Lions was a tight one, but TSM prevailed after the third map on Ascent. Despite being one of the favorites to qualify for Ascension, TSM almost defeated M80 on the first map before losing on the second. They ultimately lost to M80 2-0, dropping them to fourth place in Group B, just behind Disguised. They are 14 rounds behind Disguised in the round difference, while Disguised are 7 rounds ahead.
