From the beginning of January to December 18, 1.126 billion hours were reportedly spent watching Riot Games' VALORANT. This number is almost twice as high as the second-place FPS game, Valve' Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. A total of over 685 million hours were spent watching the CS:GO. However, with 1.6 million viewers, CS:GO achieved the greatest peak viewership of all FPS games. Also, Epic Games' Fortnite, beat off VALORANT to end with the second-highest peak viewing.

Two of the most viewed streams on Twitch are from CS:GO and VALORANT, with Brazilian streamer Gaules leading the pack with over 126 million cumulative hours watched. With 69 million total hours viewed, former professional CS:GO player and current VALORANT content producer of Sentinels Tarik is in the second position. In addition to interacting with the fiercely competitive VCT circuit and co-streaming the event throughout the course of the year, content creators like Tarik stream his VALORANT matches to their followers, which improved viewing overall.

After this great success in 2022, VALORANT will return to VCT 2023 soon with the brand-new content that Riot will be releasing.
