It's the 1st day of November 2022 for most people, and while everyone is taking in the new month's air, the devs at Valorant have been quite busy making your Episode 5: Act III experience as smooth as it should be. They just dropped the 5.09 patch update, and at first glance, it's nothing major, with all of it being bug fixes to Agents.

Riot Games has said that the patch update this time is light in anticipation of more major updates coming this year. Let's take a look at the agent fixes and what they bring to the game.

Harbor

  • Fixed Harbor’s Cascade, where looking away from it would cause it to vanish.
  • Fixed Harbor’s Cove barrier, where walking through it was not blinding players at the intended distance.
  • Fixed Harbor’s High Tide, where it would have large gaps when used in specific map locations.
  • Fixed Harbor’s Reckoning’s Geysers, where they wouldn't spawn on the area where the player was standing.

Skye

  • Small changes were made to how Skye’s Seekers navigate around obstacles after they’ve visually acquired their target.
  • When the Seekers reach an intangible target, it will not debuff them. This applies to Yoru in Dimensional Drift and Reyna while she is Dismissed.

Yoru

  • Fixed a problem where Yoru, if detained while casting Dimensional Drift, would enter his stealth and invisible state. Now the detain appropriately breaks apart the cast.

Fade

  • Fixed a bug that allowed Fade to activate her Haunt and Seize projectiles to cause them to fall while under the effects of suppression.

Reyna

  • Fixed a bug where Reyna would auto-heal following a kill when in Empress, even if she was Suppressed.

Sage

  • Fixed a bug where Sage might wall herself into a corner and promptly shatter her barrier.

These fixes were definitely needed to ensure the game plays as it should and to try to limit the number of exploits in the game. It seems valorant devs are really on the case of smashing bugs as quickly as possible, which speaks volumes about how much they actually care about their game and community as a whole. We absolutely can't wait to see what major updates are coming for Valorant as the year begins to wrap up, and we will cover them once they arrive.
