VALORANT to be released in the first week of June
Yesterday, Geoff Keighley, Producer and Creator associated with The Game Awards, gamescom, and most recently Summer Game Fest teased the community about the big announcement coming from Riot Games exclusively on the channels connected to The Game Awards as a part of the partnership with Summer Game Fest.
During the video conference hosted on May 21st, 2020 at 11 AM ET, the invited VALORANT developers, Anna “SuperCakes” Donlon and Joe “Ziggs” Ziegler revealed some spicy things coming soon to their newest FPS game.
One of the most important things is the date of the official launch of the game, which is June 2nd, 2020. The developers confirmed that on the launch we will have 11 Agents, which means a new one is coming to the game very soon. Another exciting news is the introduction of a new map (that was shown on the first VALORANT teasers) and a new game mode that is confirmed to not be a team deathmatch. It will be a shorter mode compared to the classic 5v5 mode which players can play in-between the matches. A lot of new content will be introduced after the release, including new skins of weapons, but before adding more to the game, Riot Games want to make sure everything is working as intended.
The developers also addressed a controversial topic surrounding the anti-cheat, Vanguard, and confirmed that there is no data taken from the machine, but it’s monitored.
To summary everything:
- Release: June 2nd, 2020
- New Agent
- New Map
- New Gamemode
- New Weapon Skins
