Matthew "Wedid" Suchan, the latest addition to NRG Esports to replace the retirement of daps has announced on his Twitter that he was benched from the team and he will be looking at other options.

During his stay with NRG Esports, Wedid and his team mates have played in various events including the VCT Stage 3 and the Nerd Street Gamers Summer Championship. Unfortunately during both the Open Qualifiers of the VCT, the team has disappointed in obtaining any good results since they failed to qualify to the Closed Qualifiers to Virtuoso and Resonate in the first and second qualifiers respectively. These results were a step back to what the team had achieved in Stage 2 since back then they managed to go all the way to the Challengers Playoffs, the last step before Masters Reykjavik.

The latest event they played was the $10k NSG Summer Championship to which they fell to Cloud9 Blue in the Grand Final to finish in the 2nd place after a good run through the Group Stages and Playoffs. Most of the time, Wedid was playing the Viper role and sometimes even picking up the Sentinel role switching between Killjoy and Cypher.

With this change, NRG Esports will be looking as follows:

United States Sam "s0m" Oh Canada Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic Canada Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor United States Ian "tex" Botsch
