ZachaREEE joins FaZe Clan’s VALORANT roster

Written By    Mostafeto  -  Share:

Since VALORANT’s launch, we’ve gotten to see a few stars from games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, PUBG, and Overwatch make the switch to Riot Games’ tactical shooter. FaZe Clan already has Jason “jasonR" Ruchelski and Corey "Corey" Nigra under their VALORANT roster, and they are now being joined by Zachary "ZachaREEE" Lombardo.

Zachary “ZachaREEE” Lombardo is a retired Overwatch professional player. He played for Renegades, Fusion University, and the Dallas Fuel, and represented the United States of America in the Overwatch World Cup 2018. ZachaREEE along with his teammates at the time were able to win the OWWC 2018 Los Angeles Qualifier, but finished 8th in the main phase of the competition. As for his tenure with Dallas Fuel, he finished fifth in both the Overwatch League 2019 Stage 2 Playoffs and Overwatch League 2020 May Melee.

His most successful time in Blizzard’s hero-based shooter came with Fusion University, picking up the BEAT Invitational Season 3 title and securing first place in back-to-back seasons of Overwatch Contenders 2018 for North America.

ZachaREEE served as a stand-in for FaZe Clan in the T1 x NSG Showdown, where they topped Group A, beating Prospects and Envy but failing to secure the win against Cloud9 Blue. His performance throughout the tournament was pretty solid, and we would have gotten the chance to see him again in the PAX Arena VALORANT Invitational if it wasn’t for the last minute withdrawal due to individual circumstances of members within the team.

What do you think of FaZe Clan’s VALORANT roster so far? Who do you want to see fill the two remaining spots? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!

The current FaZe Clan roster consists of:

Corey “Corey" Nigra Jason “jasonR" Ruchelski Zachary “ZachaREEE” Lombardo

Let's go! I'm so happy for Zach. He proved himself at the T1 Showdown as a very competent Sage/Operator player, it'll be interesting whether he continues with the Op in the future.

I haven't really seen JasonR play, but isn't he more of a streamer with good aim?
2020-07-25 08:17
yeah streamer with sick aim and ok game sense

I'm not too sure about this guy. Corey looks decent and Jason is good. Though this guy doesn't have much competitive experience in this game and didn't look too good the one time he participated with Faze. We'll see though

But then again, both Corey and Jason as well have no-barely any competitive experience. It'll be interesting to see how Faze will develop

Any competitive experience? So not just valorant, in that case JasonR was a professional in CS and was part of optic gaming from between most of 2016 and 2017.

I worded that wrong, sorry I had just woke up lol. I know who JasonR is, I've been following CS since around 2015. I'm just saying that the Faze squad in general hasnt had any practice nor games against other teams as of yet other than Corey and Zachareee playing a few games in a single tournament (in Valorant)

Yeah they have issues with the roster, as far as I have heard they are not exatly the most cohesive team.

i am not so sure about jasonr being in the team. I saw Shazam saying that jasonr never practice with faze meanwhile the team is scriming every day and he said that he thought maybe he joined faze as a streamer. I got over to jasonr stream and asked him and he said that he isnt in any roster actively that including faze but he didnt gave me a direct answer also.

P.S i kinda lost some respect cause he is clearly trying to go pro again and keep his brand-stream at the same time. Something you can't really do at the same time. Not at the same volume at least. A very selfish overall behaviour by my pov
