While most of Rocket League’s cars are not grounded in the real world, the Honda Civic Type R is one of few based on a real vehicle. Based on Honda’s Civic model of cars, the Honda Civic Type R is a highly sought-after vehicle that is uncommon, and it isn’t immediately obvious how to get it. Luckily, we have a quick guide for you on whether you can secure the Honda Civic Type R for yourself in Rocket League.

How to get the Honda Civic in Rocket League

The Honda Civic R was originally released in Season 8 Rocket Pass. Equipped with the Octane Body type, the Honda Civic Type R required players to simply unlock it from Tier 1 of the Rocket Pass. There was also a variant, called the Type R-LE, which was a Tier 35 reward.

At the end of the Season 8 Rocket Pass, the vehicle became only obtainable through a limited number of methods, including trading the rarer higher-tier versions. However, in October, 2023, it was announced that player-to-player trading would be removed from Rocket League in December 2023. This means there is currently no way to obtain the Honda Civic.

Can you buy the Honda Civic R in Rocket League?

There are currently no bundles or rewards to unlock the Honda Civic in Rocket League. The item was a Rocket Pass exclusive, and was only available after via trading until its removal. The Honda Civic may return in a later Rocket Pass or event, but at the time of writing, there is no way to obtain the Honda Civic Type R or Type R-LE in Rocket League.
