Alfajer officially parts ways with Fnatic after four years

After four years marked by both triumphs and challenges, Emir "Alfajer" Beder is parting ways with Fnatic. During his tenure, Alfajer secured two international titles and three regional trophies with the organization.

Alfajer leaves Fnatic

Since making his Tier-1 debut in 2022, Alfajer has established himself as one of Europe's top Turkish players, earning recognition for his exceptional aim and consistent performances. His popularity grew even further in 2023, a year widely regarded as Fnatic's golden era.

Often considered one of the first superteams of the franchise era, the roster combined outstanding individual talent with strong team play, which translated into two international titles: VCT 2023 - LOCK//IN and VCT 2023 - Masters Tokyo.

However, since their successful 2023 campaign, Fnatic have struggled to regain their international dominance. The 2025 season was particularly frustrating, with the team finishing as runners-up in three different international competitions.

Following several roster changes, 2026 turned into a nightmare for Fnatic. The team failed to compete for any regional titles and, for the first time in its history, did not qualify for a single international event. As expected, Fnatic's disappointing results prompted the organization to make roster changes ahead of the 2027 season.

After four years together, Alfajer is leaving the organization that gave him his first opportunity at the Tier-1 level when he was just 16 years old.

Where will Alfajer go next?

Alongside the farewell video, Alfajer took the opportunity to thank the fans and everyone who has supported him throughout his career. After being part of the Fnatic family for four years, the Turkish player is now ready to embark on a new chapter.

"I started this adventure at the age of 16, and now I am 21 years old. I am not usually a person who can write very emotional messages, but I would like to thank Fnatic for who they helped me become. All the emotions we experienced together, developed me as a human being, as an e-sports player, and added beauty to me in every sense."

"I have experienced unforgettable moments in my life and each of them will remain special. I would like to thank all the fans who supported us and supported me so far. Also, I would like to thank CoJo very much, he was very helpful in the development of my career on a good day and a bad day."

So far, no information has been revealed about Alfajer's next destination. More details about his future plans are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Fnatic have already announced the departures of several players, along with its coaching staff. Although not officially confirmed yet, Jake "Boaster" Howlett is also expected to part ways with Fnatic. Austin "crashies" Roberts has already been announced as a departure, leaving only Kajetan "kaajak" Haremski and Kirill "Cloud" Nehozhin under contract for the 2027 season.
