Alfajer returns to Fnatic roster after health scare
A Brief Absense
Alfajer was benched shortly before Fnatic’s high-stakes match against Paper Rex, with the organization citing unspecified health issues as the reason for his removal from the lineup. Details on the nature of the concern remained private, but the team’s director, Colin "CoJo" Johnson, later provided reassurance and transparency through his own X post.
“The private doctor we found here in Paris was great after what was a really rough hospital experience. Very communicative & helped us expedite all of the tests/appts we needed. Happy that we got the all clear today & that we can go into the NRG game whole. Let’s win it all now.”
Doma’s Brief Return Helps Fnatic Stay Strong
In Alfajer’s absence, Fnatic called upon former member Domagoj "Doma" Fancev, now competing with Tier-2 squad Enterprise Esports. Despite playing with a substitute and missing one of their most versatile stars, the EMEA giants pulled off an incredible 2-1 victory against Paper Rex, advancing to the Upper Bracket Finals.
The organization plans to keep doma around with the squad in Paris for finals weekend, just in case, and also for the "extra buff."
Alfajer’s return could not have come at a more critical juncture for Fnatic, with a Grand Finals berth on the line. As they prepare to face NRG at full strength, fans and teammates alike will be buoyed by the sight of their “final boss” back in action, ready to help Fnatic chase another title.
