Brutal Democracy reveal the North American squad
In a few days, we will enter the third week of the VALORANT closed beta phase. As time goes by we receive more information about the new organizations entering the VALORANT esports scene.
Brutal Democracy, a British organization that is operating in Europe and North America, has decided to expand its division to the brand new Riot Games’ FPS title. Till now, the organization was presented in the Fighting Games, Brawhalla, and also cooperated with multiple content creators and streamers.
“Our goals are to get into the competitive aspect and content creation side of VALORANT quickly and to represent teams globally. I look forward to seeing where this journey takes us. We have quickly become a recognized brand within fighting games and we are bringing that same passion and drive into VALORANT,” tells us Oliver Willson, Managing Director of Brutal Democracy.
The multi-national squad is formed by the players with semi-pro experience in CS:GO, which achieved A Rank in ESEA. Jimmy “oice” Ramja, that took the role of team captain, besides Valve’s shooter he also played Fortnite professionally. The remaining players of the team are Owen “O-Dox” Francis, Jacob “Jacohz” Cox, Justin “Quazeyy” Akridge, and Christopher “CrittzzY” Lagzdins. Despite being originally from different countries, all of the members are currently USA residents.
“I had worked with Jimmy in Fortnite previously and also met him at a LAN event in New Jersey last October. This was a big factor in my decision to work with him and his team; they constantly adapt and learn and have such a strong mentality towards this game I truly believe it can take them far,” continues Willson.
“In all honesty, I think it's relatively safe to assume that VALORANT, as an esport, has near-unlimited potential. It brings together some of the most creative and well thought out mechanics that make any esport successful. My team and I are setting out to dominate every tournament we can, whenever we can. I think it's nice to see players from all titles and play styles merged together into one well-constructed scene. Our team makes the time to practice every day, and improve in any area we see fit. If we aren't ahead on the scoreboard, we're doing something wrong, and it needs to be fixed. At the end of the day, our collective goal is to play at the highest level, and continue climbing the long skill curve to get to the top,” adds the captain of the team, Jimmy “oice” Ramja.
The organization doesn’t want to stop themselves to have only one team to compete in the game. As we were told, Brutal Democracy is currently in talks with another North American squad that will be their academy roster. In addition, they are looking for a team to compete in the tournaments hosted in the European region.
