"It just feels like he had never left" - FULL SENSE Crws opens up on FrosT's return
FULL SENSE kicked off their VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Pacific Stage 2 campaign on a high note, edging past Nongshim RedForce 2-1. Speaking to THESPIKE after the win, in-game leader Thanamethk "Crws" Mahatthananuyut broke down the emotional and structural shifts within the roster following Hector "FrosT" Rosario’s return as coach, and what the future holds as he approaches the twilight of his playing career.
A Familiar Reunion
For Crws, working with FrosT again felt less like a fresh start and more like picking up where they left off. "It's been the same, really," he said.
"Hector and I were used to what we're doing, and it just feels like he had never left."
If anything, the second stint has deepened their bond, with Crws admitting he enjoys having FrosT back even more this time around since the renewed connection feels less like a professional reunion and more like family.
That sense of continuity, Crws suggested, has translated into the locker room as well, with the rest of the roster embracing FrosT's return.
Addressing the Drama Head-On
FULL SENSE's coaching change didn't happen quietly, and Crws didn't shy away from the subject, though he kept his comments brief. "I really wanted to give seph1roth, THEE, and Sushi the experience I've gotten in 2024 and 2025, because that's where most of my growth came from," he explained, framing FrosT's return as less about tactics and more about mentorship for the team's younger core.
He also clarified the nature of the decision itself, explaining that FrosT had simply asked if he wanted him back, and he saw no reason to refuse. Crws admitted he'd told FrosT he didn't personally need him, not out of ego, but because he felt he'd already absorbed most of what FrosT had to teach him, given how well the two know each other.
However, he believed FrosT's presence would benefit the rest of the roster far more than it would benefit him directly. Ultimately, Crws said the call came down to team consensus.
"I asked the team, and they said, 'Yeah, go for it.' So that's why we gave him the offer."
A New Power-Sharing Dynamic
With FrosT back in the fold alongside existing voices like Thanaphat "THEE" Limpaphan and Panyawat "sushiboys" Subsiriroj, Crws described a meaningful shift in decision-making in-server. Previously, he alone made the calls, but now he and FrosT share that responsibility, trusting each other to take ownership and accept the consequences of their respective choices.
Rather than viewing this as a dilution of his authority, Crws framed it as a healthier system overall. The team no longer relies on a single voice, with FrosT now playing devil's advocate, a dynamic Crws believes strengthens FULL SENSE's overall structure and decision-making process.
"We don't really need to rely on one person. Now we have Hector to play devil's advocate, and I think it's a good dynamic—it builds a much stronger and healthier system."
Seph1roth for the Future
Crws revealed FULL SENSE planned to sign Chinnakrit "Seph1roth" Phoojaroen as early as Stage 1, calling him "the future for this team" given his own approaching retirement. He clarified the move wasn't a knock on Leviathan's ability but a long-term structural decision: "It makes more sense to develop another IGL that will replace me." Seph1roth has already made an impact behind the scenes, with his in-server calls giving the team a noticeably more structured feel.

Weaning Off Primmie: A Deliberate Experiment
Perhaps the most tactically interesting revelation centered on Papaphat "Primmie" Sriprapha's underwhelming performance on Deadlock, which Crws confirmed was part of a broader plan to reduce the team's dependency on their star player. "The hiccup is just today. He didn't really have a good game—it was worse than what we thought it would be," Crws admitted candidly. But the underlying philosophy, he stressed, remains sound.
"It's a good thing for them to see that we don't really need one person to carry the team. I don't think that's healthy... if the game plan revolves around him, it's much easier for our opponent to just anti him, and it makes it harder for everyone."
Crws pointed to the Nongshim RedForce match as validation, noting that the team managed to win without Primmie posting a massive scoreline, whereas in past matches, even a hard-carry performance from him hadn't been enough to secure victory. For Crws, this proved the team as a whole needs to improve collectively, since a stronger supporting cast ultimately sets Primmie up to succeed as well.
Eyes on Play-in Avoidance, and Life After Playing
Looking ahead to FULL SENSE's next matchup against Global Esports, Crws kept his expectations simple. He made clear that winning is the priority, mainly to avoid the play-ins altogether, given how tough that stage is expected to be. His hope is that the team can secure a direct path to playoffs without needing to fight through the play-in bracket.
As for his own future, Crws confirmed this will likely be his final competitive year as a player, though he's not ruling out staying within the FULL SENSE org in a different capacity, leaning towards coaching being the most likely path forward.
"I'll be open to offers after this year because I would love to work internationally, but I do have a feeling I might stay with FULL SENSE to help the team. I feel like I owe them for being such a nice org for supporting us."
With FrosT back on staff, seph1roth being groomed as the next IGL, and Crws himself eyeing a transition into mentorship, FULL SENSE's Stage 2 campaign looks less like a title chase and more like a carefully engineered succession plan—one that just so happens to include winning games along the way.
