Since letting go of Kevin "POISED" Ngo and Ryan "Shanks" Ngo, Dignitas have had only three players on their roster for over a month. They’ve spent this time searching for new members, and have finally landed their choices, as today they announced the signing of ex-Morning Light players Chad "oderus" Miller and Bryan "mAKKALOFF" Drouillard.

oderus and mAKKA each come from North American Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, where they’ve had solid runs of success. oderus has been playing competitively since 2016, and in early 2017 found himself on organizations like Selfless Gaming and Ronin. Ultimately, he couldn’t make it work, and spent some more time teamless before joining Ghost Gaming’s academy team. With this squad, he took part in the ESEA Season 26 Global Challenge, falling out in the semifinals. Shortly after, he left the team, and spent nearly the rest of the year without an organization. In November 2018, though, he joined Spacestation Gaming. The team achieved some success, like nearly qualifying for Dreamhack Atlanta 2018, but ultimately didn’t achieve the results the organization was looking for and was disbanded. This left oderus teamless again up until he switched to VALORANT.

mAKKA’s career is a similar story of bouncing between organizations, as he and oderus even played on some of the same teams. He played with Ronin beginning in 2016, staying with them for over a year. He joined Ghost Gaming Academy at the same time as his teammate, but once his tenure was done, took several years to step back from gaming. With the release of VALORANT, he began playing competitively again.

Early on into VALORANT, oderus and mAKKA both joined Morning Light. The roster was quite successful playing lower-tier tournaments, though they did get a chance to step up with the Knights Invitational Gauntlet Series, where they placed 3rd in their group. The other event that gave the team significant exposure was the PULSE Series, in which the team was very successful, winning their group and ultimately placing 4th. oderus was the team’s Jett/Operator player, while mAKKA was a very consistent rifler. mAKKA currently boasts an ACS of 243 and KD of 1.2, while oderus has a 213 ACS and 0.96 KD.

For a very small organization, Morning Light were incredibly successful, and it’s no surprise to see some members moving on to big destinations. oderus and mAKKA bring more consistent firepower to Dignitas, who will be aiming for the top at First Strike.

    Dignitas are now:

United States Harrison “psalm” Chang United States Phat “supamen” Le United Kingdom Rory “dephh” Jackson United States Chad “oderus” Miller United States Bryan “mAKKA” Drouillard
