Following the rumors of selling the esports organization to the owners of Complexity and Luminosity Gaming, FaZe Clan have announced that they have parted ways with their VCT 2023 Challengers NA roster. TiGG, mummay, babybay, supamen, and POSED are now free agents.

FaZe Clan failed to meet the expectations

FaZe have been struggling for the past two years. After showing solid performances in 2021, the team never matched that level again. FaZe never made it to the international stage, and they didn’t get a spot at VCT 2023 Americas League, in which the best teams in the region come up against each other. FaZe competed in the VCT Challengers NA tournament and finished the first split at the seventh spot. They had two wins and three losses, and following their disappointing run, the organization bid farewell to Mid Season Face Off in the first round without winning a single map against The Guard and G2 Esports. Lastly, FaZe kicked TSM out of the Challengers NA Playoff race but couldn’t show their true potential against Oxygen Esports in the second round. Today, FaZe announced that they have parted ways with their 5-man roster.

Babybay has been on the FaZe roster for some time now and is also the team's best player statistically. The American player holds a 1.20 rating and a 1.21 K/D and is known for playing Jett. TiGG is his closest teammate, with a 1.04 rating. We have seen him play Skye and Sova in most of the recent matches.

Here are FaZe Clan’s latest players that are now free agents:

  • United States Tanner "TiGG" Spanu
  • United States Anthony "mummAy" DiPaolo
  • United States Andrej "babybay" Francisty
  • United States Phat "supamen" Le
  • Canada Kevin "POISED" Ngo
