The VCT 2023 - China Qualifier takes a short break from July 11 to 12. But the surprises don’t stop in any way. The trophy for the China Qualifier has been officially revealed before the event resumes on July 13.

VCT China Qualifier trophy: Where style meets sport

The design of a trophy is always a hot topic in the VALORANT community. The trophy itself is a surprise, at least to some extent. The major focus of the China Qualifier is to decide the best three VALORANT teams in China and therefore decide who is going VCT 2023 - Champions. The prestige of going to the event was not enough as it holds too much meaning being the first ever official and LAN event in China. A trophy is not only for the best of the best, but also to celebrate the memorable milestone of winning the China Qualifier.

Mostly covered in red, black, and white, the trophy seems to have a meaningful design. The logo of VCT is sprouted across the earth-like foundation. Chinese VALORANT is still young and the design of the trophy attempts to depict that exact story.

The most important number 3 spot

With the reveal of the trophy, the last four days of the China Qualifier are going to start on July 13. Starting with the winner final between Bilibili Gaming and EDward Gaming, the second day is seemingly more important. The lower bracket semifinal between FunPlus Phoenix and TYLOO will decide the last slot of China Qualifier into Champions 2023.

It will be a rematch since FPX lost to TYL in the quarter final in the upper bracket with a 0-2. FPX then proved their strength with two wins over WBG and TE. While TYL went into a bp5 in the upper grand finals, EDG destroyed them with a clean 3-0 sweep. TYL bounced back with a close win over ASE, who has been in TOP4 teams in China during the first half of 2023.

Both teams and the players have never participated in an international LAN event. They will try their best for a chance to debut on a bigger stage.

The first king of VALORANT China

With the trophy, the first champions of VALORANT China will be born on the 16th. Different from the past matches in China Qualifier, the last four days will have a crowd. And according to ticket sale status, the venue will mostly be packed fully, especially on the final day. EDG is still the heavily favored one, and with the convincing two wins in a row, especially the 3-0 on TYL, they are even more favored. BLG has been the challenger to EDG for a few months and they will have a banger upper final, with the head to head between Zheng "ZmjjKK" Yongkang and Wang "whzy" Haozhe. It’s worth noting that back in 2021, during the first ever FGC event, whzy played for TOE and they faced EDG in the grand final. Whzy and TOE won ove EGD with a 3-1 and crowned a champion. Even though zmjjkk hasn’t shined, whzy has already been labeled as the best OPer and jett player in China.

The final stage of VCT Champions China Qualifer will take place from the 13 to the 16 of July.
