Over the last year, former superstar Ava "florescent" Eugene has become one of the most well-known players in the VALORANT scene, due to her becoming the first Game Changers players to get signed to a VCT team. The talented 18-year-old recently announced that she’d be taking a step back from professional play, but the spotlight is on her once again, due to sexual assault allegations.

Heavy allegations and an immediate denial

The accuser, former Game Changers player Marceline "karie" Carson, alleges that Florescent had manipulated and sexually assaulted one of her close friends at the beginning of 2024. In the graphic statement, Karie says that “there is so much more that will eventually come forward,” but the reason not all information is being given right now is because the victim needs time to properly assess what she wants to keep personal and what will be made public.

Karie also says that she knew Florescent personally, and doesn’t think that these occurrences are surprising since she believes she is an “awfully vile person,” and that this “goes a lot deeper that what’s in the doc.”

However, Florescent has already denied the allegations on social media, stating that she is “treating this matter with [her] full attention.” She is also exploring legal assistance to figure out what she can share publicly, and how she can clear her name. She says that she wishes she could give evidence for the public to see, but was asked to refrain from sharing anything for her own safety. Florescent ended the statement by saying she will be giving an update on the situation and her side soon.

    Full statement

(Warning: rape & sexual assault mentioned)

According to the statement, the victim—given an alias of “Brick”—had visited Florescent’s house, and Brick supposedly said she did not want to do anything sexual with the accused, to which Florescent responded that she didn’t want to see her anymore. Brick still decided to visit since she wanted to see Florescent, and was sent an Uber by the former pro. Upon arrival, Florescent supposedly changed Brick’s phone passcode “because she didn’t want Brick to know where she lived.”

Afterward, Florescent allegedly initiated sexual conduct with Brick, which she consented to. However, Brick said that she was in a lot of physical pain during the acts and told Florescent while it was happening, but was ignored. Brick then said that after a short time, her mother called her phone asking her to come home. She woke up Florescent so that she could be ordered an Uber, but Florescent allegedly said that she didn’t want Brick to leave and that she wanted to continue their sexual acts.

Florescent supposedly continued her advancements, telling Brick that she’d “regret it if they didn’t have sex.” According to Brick, Florescent ended up on top of her, forcing herself onto her. Eventually, Brick felt powerless to stop Florescent, and after an alleged 30 minutes of rejecting advances, Brick was forced to let Florescent do what she wanted. Only then was Brick allowed to leave, which is where the allegations end.
