Fnatic dominates Apeks; secures VCT Champions Paris spot

After last week's fiasco against Team Liquid, Fnatic redeemed themselves with a crucial win over Apeks, locking in their spot in VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions. This makes Fnatic the first team from VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Stage 2 to qualify for the prestigious event.

In the match against Apeks, Fnatic showed how much they wanted that guaranteed spot to Champions. The domination started on Fnatic’s pick Bind and even though Lotus started to Apeks' advantage, it ended in Fnatic's favor. The series went 2-0 to the previous VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Stage 1 winners.

Three spots left in EMEA

Fnatic took the first EMEA spot by earning enough Championship points. With three EMEA spots still up for grabs, the pressure is rising for the remaining teams. Two spots will go to the Finalists in the upcoming playoffs, while the last remaining spot will be determined by Championship points—the team with the highest points will claim it.

Three teams qualified overall

Two teams from the Americas have already punched their tickets to Champions Paris. G2 Esports and Sentinels have previously qualified by getting enough Championship points and will now be joined by the fan favorites from EMEA, bringing the total number of qualified teams to three.

In the Pacific and China regions, no team has officially qualified Champions yet. After their win at Masters Toronto, Paper Rex lead with eleven Championship points, but T1 are hot on their heels with ten. Meanwhile, in China, EDward Gaming and Wolves Esports are tied at ten points each.

Two teams relegated from EMEA

In their final group match, Fnatic took down Apeks, sealing Apeks’ fate. Since joining VCT EMEA after winning VCT 2024 - Ascension: EMEA in 2024, Apeks hasn’t managed to win a single match. Both Apeks and Gentle Mates lost their matches last week and have now been relegated from VCT EMEA after failing to qualify for playoffs and falling short on Championship points. This means that two spots will open up for VCT EMEA 2026 and will go to the Grand Finalists in the VCT Ascension EMEA 2025 tournament.
