Former Portuguese player Bati becomes LOUD's assistant coach
After the addition of Roberto "erde" Lobos to the starting lineup, it looks like LOUD aren't done making moves ahead of VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Americas Stage 1. According to a report by THESPIKE Brazil, the organization has reached a verbal agreement with former player Miguel "Bati" Batista, who will take up the role of LOUD's assistant coach.
Bati Earns His Place
Bati is already in Brazil with the rest of the LOUD squad. In fact, Bati had already started assisting the team during VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Americas Kickoff, coming in for a sort of trial period after LOUD's first match of the season against Cloud9.
Despite LOUD's disappointing showing at Kickoff — where they were eliminated after winning just one map — Bati's input seems to have caused a good impression internally. Now, Bati will be officially coming in as the team's new assistant coach as LOUD look to turn things around for Stage 1.
Ever since the team was left without an assistant coach following Matheus "mat" Dourado's exit in October of last year, the organization left it up to head coach Gonzalo "Romanilly" Manzano to settle on a replacement. Though the Argentine coach found a lack of good options available at first, Bati will now come in to reinforce LOUD's coaching staff to find out what this new roster is capable of.
LOUD VALORANT roster for Stage 1:
-
Leandro "Virtyy" Moreno
-
Sebastián "Darker" Cicuamia
-
Roberto "erde" Lobos
-
Cauan "cauanzin" Pereira
-
Lucca "luk xo" Travaioli
Bryan "pANcada" Luna (Substitute)
Gonzalo "Romanilly" Manzano (Head Coach)
Miguel "Bati" Batista (Assistant Coach)
It's worth noting that this will be Bati's first time officially working as an assistant coach in competitive VALORANT. Bati has been a pro player since 2001, playing for European teams like SAW, SK Gaming, and, most recently, FALKE ESPORTS.
