fRoD rules out roster changes at MIBR: "We have such a strong and talented team"

After a painful string of losses at VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Americas Kickoff that saw the team miss out on attending VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Masters Santiago 2026, MIBR will not be making any changes to its lineup. This was confirmed by the team's head coach, Danny "fRoD" Montaner, during an exclusive interview with THESPIKE Brazil.

The coach also added that, while this roster was built for success in the short term, the intention is for this squad to remain together for a long time.

"Our team doesn’t have this idea in mind of swapping players. We put together a long-term project in the sense that the team and the players want to stay together for a long time. The team isn’t long-term in the sense of trying to win only later; these are things made to win today, but long-term in the sense that everyone will stay together for a long time. So there won’t be any changes."

    Building Up for Stage 1

MIBR's new star-studded roster will not take to the stage again for an official match until the start of VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Americas Stage 1. While failing to qualify for Masters Santiago certainly hurts, fRoD and the rest of the team are well aware that now's not the time to look back.

"A team like ours just needs to understand how to lose and how to come back stronger as a team. We have a very strong friendship within the team, and we communicate very well after matches. This week gave the players a bit more time to rest, but everyone is playing together, doing things together, and looking for solutions for our practice."

Without the need to think back to what could have been, the reality is that this was a disappointing start to the season for the team. So, what is it MIBR plans to change moving forward? According to fRoD, the team's focus in the practice room will be on sharpening their game fundamentals first, as well as taking more risks and pushing themselves to be more flexible with their Agent compositions.

"I think we’re going to focus a lot on the fundamentals, the basics of the game. That will always be a focus for our team, to make sure we’re on the same page and understanding what to do in-game a bit better and not making these basic mistakes. But we’re also going to take a lot more risks; we’ll play a bit more freely in that sense, with a lot of work, but also with the flexibility to try some things. A team like G2 is a team we want to be a bit more like in that sense in the future, swapping compositions on the fly, things like that. We need to take more risks because we have such a strong and talented team. We have very good players and, after five or six weeks together as a team, we’ll already have many things that allow us to take those risks with more confidence."

Now, it will be roughly a month and a half until MIBR play an official match again. Whether that will be enough time to sharpen up their gameplay will be largely up to them and fRoD's leadership.
